We offer a variety of inclusive camp opportunities over school breaks. Our camp experiences will be the most fun your child will have while developing skills that they will forever need! We offer both day camp and overnight camp opportunities for school aged students.

Summer Schedule 2024


Horsin’ Around Day Camps

Day Camps: Monday-Thursday

Session 1: May 28th - May 31 (Tues - Fri because of holiday)

Session 2: June 3rd - June 6th

Session 3: June 10th - June 14th

Camp Details: Day Camps are designed for kids of all abilities ages 7-17! Camp activities and peer groups will be split according to appropriate age groupings. We will have a special group running for Vocational Program Campers ages 18-22.

Times: 7:30am-12:00pm, Cost: $375 per week

Curriculum Inclusions: Fundamentals of Riding and Horse Care, Daily Horse Activities and Lessons, 2 full length riding lessons per week, Culinary Classes, Crafts, Water Play Games & More!

Adaptive Camper Adaptations: For our campers with neurodiversities, extra care is put into adaptations and fostering appropriate social and emotional interactions with peers. Camp groups are split up by age. If your child needs 1:1 support to participate in a small group of 4 or needs support with activities of daily living, you will be asked to send a support provider with your camper.

 

Overnight Adventure Camps!

Tucked away within the majestic Ponderosa Pines of Arizona's stunning Mogollon Rim lies a hidden gem: Camp Colley. The HEART Center is thrilled to resume overnight camp opportunities through our stewardship of this enchanting 35-acre adventure camp owned by The City of Phoenix. Join us for a summer of fun as we do what we do best- creating inclusive camp opportunities for Arizona's youth, guiding them on a journey of discovery, connection, and awe-inspiring experiences in the great outdoors. Dates & Themes: All Camps Monday-Friday

Week 1: June 24-28; Adventure Camp & HORSIN Around Track

Week 2: July 8-12th; Adventure Camp & Teen Leadership Track

Week 3: July 15th-19th- Adventure Camp & HORSIN Around Track

Week 4: July 22nd-26th- Adventure Camp - Water Week!

Week 5: July 29th - Aug 2nd- Adventure Camp & HORSIN Around Track

Ages: Campers age 9+ with or without disabilities. Adaptive Campers will participate in pre-camp discovery call to determine support needs upon registration; Age Groups will be split into age groups: 10-13 yrs & 14-17 yrs

Vocational Campers: Parks & Recreation Program

Campers with disabilities ages 18-22 can attend as part of our vocational camp program! This camp opportunity will provide campers with a summer camp experience that includes training and experience working as part of a Parks and Recreation Team. Campers will participate in daily camp activities as well as daily training curriculum and job experiences related to working at a summer camp facility. Camp Roles will include but will not be limited to culinary team, horse team, facilities team, activity team and peer coach roles. Camp dates and rates are all the same as the youth adventure camps.

Rates: $1100 per week; Transportation add on $150.00 Scholarships may be available on an as needed basis upon request.

  • Camp Colley is located in Happy Jack, AZ. Right off the 87, 2.5 hours outside of Phoenix! Camp is anywhere from 20-30 degrees cooler than Phoenix on any given day!

  • Campers sleep in tent-cabins, always accompanied by staff members. Boys and girls have separate sleeping quarters and tents are separated by age groups!

  • Campers will participate in daily activity rotations giving them exposure of all the different activities camp has to offer… including our signature life skill building curriculum!

  • Camp Drop Off: Monday 10:00am-11:00am and Camp Pick Up: Friday 1:00pm-3:00pm

  • The H.E.A.R.T Center provides transportation to and from our overnight camp location at an additional cost of $150.00 per week.

  • Our Camp Culinary Team will work with you to ensure that we can meet all of your child’s dietary needs, Gluten Free and Dairy Free options always available.

  • Adaptive Campers who need 1:1 support or who need assistance with daily living skills may be required to provide a support aide.

Weekly adventures include but are not limited to: horse programming, archery, crawdad fishing, all camp recreation games, low ropes course challenges, arts and crafts, bike riding, off site water sport days, cabin games, nature hikes, campfire fun, talent nights and more!

Family Adventure Weekends!

Meet us at camp for on an unforgettable adventure with your loved ones at Camp Colley, where every family gets to experience the joy of nature, the thrill of adventure, and the warmth of our community! Nestled in the heart of the Mogollan Rim, our camp offers a safe, supportive, and fun-filled getaway perfect for families- especially those with special needs family memebers. At The HEART Center we believe in the magic of inclusivity, the power of nature, and the unbreakable bonds of family.

Dates:

Family Retreat 1: July 3rd - July 6th; Fourth of July in the Forest!

Family Retreat 2: Aug 30th- Sep 2nd; End of Summer Celebrations!

Rates: $310 per adult; $210 per child (ages 6-17) Private Tent fee of $150.00 (limited availability) ** bring your own tent for 0 cost or share with friends! Children must attend with at least one adult.

  • Arrival: 12:00-3:00pm and Camp Wrap Up: 10:00am-11:00am

  • All Meals Provided! Our Camp Culinary team can accommodate Gluten Free and Dairy Free dietary restrictions upon request.

  • All Activities Included! Activities will include a mix of family activities, youth activities and adult activities.

  • Cabin Tents sleep 8-10 individuals; You can bring your own tent if you would prefer. Limited amount of dry camping trailer spaces available.
