PERSONALIZED EDUCATION
The greatest benefit of a small, micro school is that education can be tailored to each child's specific needs. We offer two pathways for learning for our students: one through functional academics and the other a more “traditional” academic pathway. Both pathways are designed to empower learners on their individualized learning path no matter what that level might be!
VOCATIONAL TRAINING
Beyond the emotional and social skills developed when learning to ride, we have developed a vocational training curriculum that uses hands-on work with the horses and other various job placements. While teaching our students the fundamentals of horse care and barn management, we saturate them with lessons that build confidence and practical job-related life skills.
TRANSITIONAL & RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS
Learning happens best when it’s applicable and enjoyable. In addition to our daily academic and vocational training components, our schedule will be infused with engaging opportunities for Recreation Participation and rich Transition Education. Our goal is to facilitate students' successful transition to life outside of school!
Program Details
This all sounds great...but you probably want to know about the nitty-gritty details.
The beauty of being a "micro" school is that we really do believe in the power of small group education! The school will have a maximum of 25 students, combined between our middle school, high school and transition academy. With such a high staff-to-student ratio we can create the ideal blend of 1:1 support and small group programming.

The intention was to create an all-encompassing program that still offered plenty of flexibility and accessibility. We know that horses and movement re-wire the brain to successfully set our kids up for learning.
Tuition will include:
- Academic Plan + Individualized Academic Curriculum
- Quarterly Progress Report with open access to teachers at any time.
- Therapeutic Riding
- Recreational Therapy (Adaptive Sports)
- Vocational Training
- Transitional Education
Tuition for each school year is between $26,000 - $28,000 depending on program path, curriculum and additional programming options.
Flexible Payment Plans:
The H.E.A.R.T. Center offers payment plans of 1,2 or 4 installments. Tuition can also be paid via Arizona’s ESA funding.

Class Schedule:
Our school meets 5 days a week from 8:15 am - 3 pm M/T/TH/F and 8-12 on Wednesdays.

The H.E.A.R.T. Center provides transformative education for students with moderate learning challenges.
We optimally serve students who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and whose primary needs are social, emotional, and behavioral.
Students with the above diagnosis may also have co-occurring learning challenges such as:
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
- Executive Functioning - Processing Disorder
- Specific Learning Disabilities
- Speech or Language Impairments
- Anxiety
- Depression
We do our best to support students with a variety of support needs. If your child has an apraxic and impulsive body that needs significant one-on-one coaching to be successful, we will work with you to provide a Communication Regulation Partner to attend along side them.
Our ultimate goal is to come alongside your child and your family to be a part of your child’s growth and success.
