Why We Camp

HEART Centered Horse Camp isn’t just a program we run — it’s where this whole thing started.

Before we built our school, we built camp.
And year after year, parents told us the same thing:

“My kid’s learning more here in one week… than in months at school.”

So we took the joy, movement, and breakthroughs of camp — and made it our mission, year-round.

Every summer, we return to our roots with a variety of inclusive camp experiences for neurodiverse and neurotypical students alike.

Because we believe the best learning happens through play, movement, and belonging.

Inclusion Isn’t a Buzzword.

It’s Our Blueprint.

All of our camps are inclusive.
Not because it's trendy.
Not because it's required.
But because it's right.

It started that way because we had the expertise to make it work and every kid deserves the opportunity to go to camp.

What we’ve learned is that inclusion at HEART Center Camps aren’t just about fun.
It’s about modeling what’s possible.

If we’re not doing our small part in showing the world that inclusion works, how will the next generation learn acceptance? How will they build empathy, compassion, or the belief that every person belongs?

Every camper leaves The HEART Center with more than just a good time.
They leave with skills, friendships, and a lived experience of inclusion.

And that changes everything.

Two young girls are playing together outdoors in a forest, balancing on a fallen log. They are holding hands, smiling, and enjoying a sunny day surrounded by trees.
